Dr. Steven Cocolas
Dr Steve Cocolas graduated from the University of Queensland with Honours in 1975. With an established practice of his own for over 35 years, Dr Cocolas has enjoyed treating multiple generations of families. Steve enjoys all facets and challenges of dentistry and has had a number of successes as Councillor and Treasurer of the Australian Dental Association for 10 years, member of the University of Queensland Faculty Board, President of Queen Alexandra Home and QE II hospital board member for 10 years. Steve also regularly attends Vardiman Dental Study Association to continually update in new procedures and treatments.
In his spare time Steve enjoys boating and keeping healthy at the gym but his biggest love is spending time with his wife, three children and grandchildren.
Dr. Kate Fiore
Dr Kate Fiore joined the practice in late 2010. Initially, Kate obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland. As a pharmacist, Kate has a solid medical foundation for her true passion which lies in Dentistry. Kate subsequently obtained her dental degree in 2009, also from the University of Queensland and was awarded The Henry Schein Halas Prize. She has a diverse range of experience and prior to joining the team spent time performing dentistry in Caloundra, Logan, Ipswich and North Brisbane in both public and private clinics. Kate strives for a high standard of clinical treatment. As part of her continued effort to provide the best care to patients, Dr Kate Fiore regularly attends practical workshops and further education programs to remain up to date with any new procedures. She enjoys treating both adults and children in all aspects of general dentistry.
In her spare time Kate loves spending time with her husband and their two gorgeous daughters. She also enjoys cooking and reading.
Dr. Cherise Tan
After graduating from Griffith University, Dr Cherise Tan developed a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, and practices a patient-centred approach.
Cherise strongly believes in prevention rather than cure and understands that a beautiful smile can change everything. She prides herself on being organised and dedicated to working together in order to create a treatment plan that is individually curated just for you.
In her free time, Cherise loves travelling, spending time with her family and friends, and playing with her dogs. She is an avid foodie and Broadway show enthusiast who enjoys talking about the latest movies and TV shows.
Cherise loves learning languages, and can speak fluent English, Bahasa Malaysia, Japanese, and conversational Mandarin.
Tennille Wyatt – Practice Manager
With over 10 years’ experience in the dental profession and a Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting, Tennille is very passionate about providing personalised patient care and the promotion of good oral health. Tennille joined the team in January 2009 working alongside Dr Cocolas as his assistant.
Over the last 9 years her role here has progressed to managing the team and services provided to you. With her clinical and managerial experience and a friendly warm smile she is always able to assist you with any queries you may have.
In her spare time Tennille likes to be creative with arts and crafts and going travelling and fishing with her partner.
Hannah Newberry – Administration
Hannah joined the Cannon Hill Dental administration team February 2016, after returning from six months backpacking through the United States and Europe. She has a real passion for the dental industry since graduating in 2013 as a Dental Technician and hopes to advance her skills in that area.
When you visit our practice Hannah will mostly likely be the one to greet you with a friendly smile on her face and a wiliness to help in any way she can.
In her spare time Hannah likes spending time outdoors and listening to live music with her partner. She also enjoys photography and art and hopes to travel a lot more in the future.
Chloe Hayman – Dental Assistant
Chloe joined our Cannon Hill Dental team mid 2017. While Chloe has been attending our practice as a patient since she was 9 years old, being on the other side of treatment is something that is certainly new to her, though it doesn’t show. Chloe has be gaining her dental assisting skills at an impressive rate and already is a valued member of our team. Always with a smile on her face and wiliness to help, we are sure Chloe will be very successful in her dental career.
In her spare time Chloe likes to do fun day adventures and spending time caring for animals.
Grace Manthey – Dental Assistant
Grace is the newest member of our team. Growing up in Gympie she completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting via a school based traineeship in 2015. She moved to Brisbane to attend university to study another of her passions, Speech Pathology. Grace is very friendly and loves a good chat. We are sure she will create a positive experience for all of our patients.
